Is Google Nose real?
Before you get your hopes up, let us tell you that Google Nose is fake.
As plausible as the idea of an artificial nose seems, the search engine giant introduced the much-touted feature on April 1 years ago, playing an elaborate prank on all of us.

The prank never gets old
Google Nose and its supposed super features are once again being discussed on social media as people continue to fall for the old joke.
This has become a favorite among teachers as the online classroom setup is tailor-made to pull this prank.
Sharing her students’ reaction to the prank, one Twitter user wrote:” Pranked our FDKs with Google Nose Beta this morning and had so much fun smelling through our screens! Lots of great reactions to the stinky wet dog smell!”
“We also launched ‘Google Nose Beta’ and it was pretty fun! E said, “Well I guess I can’t smell it because I don’t really have a good sense of smell.” wrote another teacher.
A Twitter user who fell victim to the famous joke wrote: “I’ll never forget the April Fool’s joke when I fell for the Google Nose prank.”
