Instagram users have been flooding Twitter with inquiries and complaints about issues related to the platform for the past few weeks. Is the app running slow again today?

In fact, Instagram has been running slow for many users since yesterday and even today there is no improvement.

In the last few hours, many complaints have surfaced on Twitter about users being unable to watch videos or view other people’s profiles.

One user reported that the app ran slowly even after they cleared their cache and restarted their phone.

“Sameee my facebook and instagram keep getting so slow randomly,” wrote a third user.

down detector has also reported a spike in complaints about the app in the past 24 hours. Therefore, it is not because of your internet connection but because of the platform itself.

How can I contact Instagram?

While Instagram does have a phone number and a support email address, you’re unlikely to get in touch with an actual customer support representative.

The direct phone number and email are (650) 543-4800 and [email protected] respectively, but you gets no human answer through these channels.

You can also access the app’s help center from the phone app or from the desktop website, as it has answers to most questions.

Given that IG has over a billion active users, it’s not surprising that the app doesn’t have a dedicated customer support team as it would require an army of people.

Possible fixes that may work

Although Instagram hasn’t released any support for the issue yet, here are some fixes that might work.

Try logging out of your Instagram account and logging back in.

Delete the application and download it again.

Try forcibly closing it and restarting.

Restarting your internet connection or updating the app has also helped resolve similar issues in the past.
