Speaking of which, Nicola McLean has claimed “every celebrity sells stories” and says the only hate she has for her friend Rebekah Vardy “has to stop.”
Speaking to presenter Dawn Neesom, Nicola said: “I mean, let’s say Rebekah leaked stories and she said she didn’t, but let’s say she did. If she leaked the fact that Coleen’s basement flooded, that really is such a big deal.
“Every celebrity sells stories, that’s how you do your covers, like I don’t understand why everyone is upset about it.
“Once you’ve sold stories, you can’t sit them down and blast Rebekah Vardy. She says she didn’t even sell the stories.

Speaking about the Vardy family receiving death threats, Nicola said: “The trolling is appalling. I don’t even like using the world troll because it’s not trolling it’s online abuse.
“She has received messages online saying people want to rape her daughter. When she was pregnant and Coleen tweeted what she tweeted they said they hope their unborn baby dies.
“Am I worried about her? no She is strong, her marriage is strong, she and Jamie have an amazing life together. She’s a good mother, she’ll be fine, but the online abuse has to stop.”

“I actually chatted with her on the way here, just messages, I mean I get on really well with Rebekah.
“I wasn’t watching last night because I was at an event, I didn’t comment or mention it to her but yeah why wouldn’t she make money? I made money off this case, I got hired for TV jobs to talk about it.
“Rebecca is strong. I see a lot of news outlets saying, “Oh, she’s going to lick her wounds,” definitely not, that’s not Rebekah Vardy.
“She’s upset about the verdict, she feels let down, she feels terribly treated, I would agree.

Trial: Rebekah, wife of Leicester City footballer Jamie, was told her testimony was ‘evasive and implausible; and has been accused of intentionally deleting WhatsApp messages central to the case (pictured July 2022).
Vardy, wife of Leicester City footballer Jamie, was told her evidence was “evasive and implausible; and was accused of intentionally deleting WhatsApp messages central to the case.
She said she was “extremely saddened and disappointed by the decision” last week, adding that it “wasn’t the result I expected”.
It comes as Vardy’s efforts to restore her reputation may include a documentary, a biopic and two retail campaigns.
Sources close to Vardy are hoping a bidding war will break out between production companies, five of whom are said to be interested in making a documentary about the infamous case.
Bidders are expected to offer between £50,000 and £250,000 for their stake, The Times reports.
Streaming giants Netflix, Amazon and Disney are believed to be already fighting to carry Rooney’s side of the lawsuit from Lorton Entertainment – the same company responsible for the feature film about Wayne.
A source close to Coleen said she could be in line for “several million pounds” to attend.
