Is Kik still down as Down Detector flags possible problems?

The free mobile messaging app is similar to Whatsapp but includes a few additional features.

Founded in 2009, the messaging application is used by a significant number of people. Many of these users are racking their brains as to what is wrong with the app today, May 10, 2022.

Is Kik still down?

At the time of writing, Kik is still down.

Several Kik users checked Twitter to see if the app is unavailable to other users as well.

While the platform’s official social media accounts have yet to fix the reported issues, users want them restored immediately.

A number of issues that have been reported include problems with signing in, sending messages, and server connection.

The service has been down for hours

That Down Detector Chart shows a steady increase in complaints about Kik over the past four hours.

And according to the reports and numerous tweets, the most common problem seems to be the login.

“Hello, my name is Keondra. When I try to log in to Kik, it wouldn’t let me log in. I think it needs fixing,” one tweeted.

Other asked, ‘@Kik are there any outages? I can not login. I signed out because a connection could not be established and now I can’t sign in.”

“@Kik your site is down and messing up a lot of people’s communications.” called an angry user.

Possible fixes until the issue is resolved

Since Kik is yet to identify the issue with its platform, maybe you could try one of these possible solutions.

• Restart your device – This has been effective in many cases. If the problem is yours, the error should resolve itself.
• Update the app to the latest version.
• Reinstall the app and try signing in if you’re currently blocked from accessing it.
• Check your connectivity to ensure you have uninterrupted internet.
