The beginning of Volume 2 of Nearby, we see Bea and Kayleigh sneak out of the house, following Megan to Vipers, where they meet Carlton. The man tries to flirt with the girls, gives Kayleigh a drink.

Suspicious of Carlton’s motives, Bea poked her finger in Kayleigh’s drink. That’s when her nail polish changed color, indicating that her drink had indeed been spiked. (Naturally, Bea’s response was to pass on Carlton and Kayleigh’s drinks, forcing him to drug himself before the two stole his car.)
