Is there co-op/multiplayer in Kirby and the Forgotten Lands?

Kirby and the Forgotten Lands has received a new trailer that showcases many aspects of the game. One such aspect is the fact that Kirby now powers up the gun. But what may have stolen the show is the fact that Bandana Waddle Dee appeared in the trailer, leaving many wondering if there will be co-op or multiplayer.
The answer is yes — there are multiplayer in Kirby and the Forgotten Lands. One player, presumably the first, will control Kirby while the other will control Bandana Waddle Dee. Kirby has her traditional absorbing powers, while Bandana Waddle Dee wields a spear.

The trailer showcases some of Kirby’s powers and some of Bandana Waddle Dee’s moves. This includes throwing his spear at enemies and levitating above them, using the spear like a helicopter while dropping the spear at the enemy.
Kirby is perfect for playing with friends, and Kirby and the Forgotten Lands will include co-op, so you can do just that. Check out the trailer below and don’t argue too much about who gets to play Kirby!
