Before playing Like a Dragon: Ishin! Dive in, you should know an important fact about the game’s DLC packs.
As revealed in a post on the Yakuza subreddit on Feb. 20, certain DLC packs are single-use items that can be purchased multiple times. For those playing the game, this means they can redeem the packs once and only for one save file before the pack counts as redeemed. If they wish to re-use the items included in the DLC packs, they will then need to make a new purchase through the digital retailer tied to their platform of choice.
The game also ensures that you can’t squirm out of a purchase once it’s triggered, or transfer the DLC to a new save. Once players decide to redeem the DLC, they will have to hard save the game, which will record the download of the DLC in a specific file. The DLC can only be received after this save is performed, and the download will be prevented if you exit the save.
While the DLC listed isn’t the most expensive optional content at just $2.99 a piece, buying multiples can get pricey pretty quickly. This is especially true when players want to replay the game with the presented items, which offer valuable items and materials that can alleviate some of the grinding required to be properly equipped for certain boss fights or challenges.
Keep this in mind when you sign up for Like a Dragon: Ishin! which is available now on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One and PC. For more information on the game, check out one of our related articles below.
