It’s warm this weekend; We are tracking storms early next week

COLUMBUS, Ga. (WRBL) – Great forecast with more sunshine and warmer temperatures. There will be some sunshine on Friday with an increase in clouds in the afternoon and evening. Despite more cloud cover in the second half of the day, high temperatures will still reach lows into the mid 70s.

Clouds will decrease early Saturday morning then it will become sunny with temperatures in the 70s, we will retain sunshine and mild temperatures throughout the weekend.

We are tracking our next system that has the potential to bring severe storms to the Southeast, and unfortunately it is arriving just as holiday traffic is increasing. For now, stronger storms appear to remain west of the News 3 viewing area, but we have introduced a chance of showers and thunderstorms for Monday and Tuesday.

Fewer clouds and cooler temperatures behind the front, we’ll likely see plenty of sunshine for Thanksgiving.
