Tammy Abraham posted on Instagram after scoring his 23rd goal of the season for Roma in a Europa Conference League win over Bodo Glimt on Thursday night – and Jack Grealish responded to his post.
It comes after The athletics reported that super agent Jorge Mendes had been in talks to lure Abraham back to London this summer – but not Chelsea. To Tottenham instead, as a possible replacement for Harry Kane at Spurs.
Abraham, 23, has been sensational under ex-Spurs boss Jose Mourinho in Italy – so much so that The mail claim Roma want up to £100m for ex-Chelsea man Still, Mendes was in talks.
After Thursday’s 4-0 win over the side who beat them 6-1 in the group stage, Abraham took to Instagram to share his delight at scoring another goal and reaching the semi-finals in European competition.
Grealish to Abraham: Should Tottenham sign Roma striker?
Spurs could use a forward but there’s no chance Abraham will join London with Kane still at the club. With Spurs now in fourth place and looking good under Antonio Conte, Kane will most likely stay.
In fact, Manchester City are the only club truly capable of signing Kane and they are pushing for a move for Dortmund’s Erling Haaland. But Abraham has been excellent this season and justifies his high price.
Grealish agrees and comments on Abraham’s Instagram – telling the England star he’s “on fire”.
