Jacqueline Laurita’s daughter is ready for her closeup. In an interview with Page Six, Ashlee Malleo said she’d be interested in a “Real Housewives of New Jersey” spin-off, or really any “next-gen” spin-off.

The conversation started with Malleo asking about RHONJ and if she would join. She explained that although some of the women on the show are her own age, she doesn’t live in a villa like the other women and her lifestyle doesn’t fit. “I have a two bedroom apartment,” she said, laughing.

Ultimately, though, Malleo doesn’t mind appearing on reality TV, and she thinks the Real Housewives stars’ kids could easily organize their own show.

“I think that would be fun,” she told the outlet, adding that she also wants to include her cousin Lauren Manzo. “Andy knows how to reach me,” she added.

Ashlee Malleo is a mom

Malleo appeared in a few episodes of The Real Housewives of New Jersey when her mother was in the cast from seasons 1 through 5 and again in season 7. However, since Laurita left the show, she rose through the ranks and relocated to Las Vegas with her family. However, Malleo remained in Jersey.

Malleo and then-boyfriend Pete Malleo welcomed son Cameron in 2016. Two years later Ashlee Malleo married Pete Malleo in NYC. However, they broke up a short time later and their divorce was confirmed in 2021.

Today Malleo works as a make-up artist and influencer, according to her Instagram bio. Malleo is still close to her mother and makes her way to Las Vegas to visit family when she can. She was recently back in the spotlight due to her mother reuniting with former BFF Teresa Giudice.

Malleo has shared some tidbits of her personal life on social media but decided to make a very candid post about a recent health diagnosis.

“You may not think that I’ve had many difficulties in my life – but I have. These last two years have been particularly difficult for me. About a month ago I had a nervous breakdown. I found myself in a position of being afraid of myself and my own thoughts. And I decided to finally seek real help. I also took a short break from social media,” she captioned an Instagram post in June 2022, adding, “I have been diagnosed with Bipolar II and BPD.”

“I made the personal decision to start medication immediately as I really feel like I’ve tried everything else up to this point. I think I’ve denied that diagnosis for a long time. However, I was also never properly educated on all other aspects of bipolarity,” she added.

Malleo went on to say that she chose to speak out about her diagnosis because she thinks it’s important to break the “negative stigma.”
