Jake Paul claims he is suffering from symptoms of ‘brain damage’ ahead of his Tyron Woodley rematch.
The rematch between Jake Paul and Tyron Woodley, scheduled for Saturday, December 18, has been a hot topic for the past few weeks.
Week after week, fans are witnessing more surprises unfold as the two prepare to exchange blows once again. The latest unexpected incident was when Jake gives Tyron a new generation Rolex during the pre-battle press conference.
Jake Paul shares about ‘Brain damage’
In his recent interview with the journalist Graham Bensinger, Jake said: “I had a brain CT scan just before I started boxing and the doctor told me there was no blood flow from the concussions I had played football with to certain areas of the upper body. Brain.”
The the social media star continued, “I believe one of them is the frontal lobe, part for memory, etc. After my first year in boxing, I came back and it got worse.”
The boxer turned YouTuber also claimed that doctors advised him not to play boxing. “I think it’s affected me at a rapid pace before because I’ve never done it easily,” he continued.
Detailing how ‘brain damage’ affected him, the 24-year-old said, “I notice it in conversations with my girlfriend or friends, don’t remember something that I have I can’t remember what happened a few days ago.”
“Sometimes in my speech, for every 100 or 200th word, I get confused or sound like a foul language, which I didn’t do before.”
The social media star has spoken of her ‘brain damage’ before. He talked about it before his fight with Ben Askren, but didn’t go into detail after that.

Jake pull out a watch it was a gift wrapped with a bow on it and gave it to Tyron.
The former UFC champion hesitantly opened it and was shocked to see a Rolex. “It’s a new generation,” Jake said, as Tyron looked at him incredulously.
“A gift of respect,” Jake added.
