Nothing for the squeamish.

Jena Malone has had an eventful career, venturing into mainstream blockbusters like Sucker Punch and The Hunger Games: Catching Fire, to independent work that’s garnered attention. After putting all that behind, Malone will star in Swallowed, and fair warning, it’s not a film for the faint of heart.

Swallowed follows the story of two friends as Benjamin tries to leave the small town to join the big stars and pursue an acting career. Benjamin’s friend Dom offers the former a quick way to make money before the big move that involves drug dealing.

What turns out to be a drug deal gone awry, ending horribly when the two become embroiled in dealing with Alice, the head of the local drug program. Swallowed will debut digitally on February 14, 2022, with an official trailer to set the scene.

Played by Jena Malone, Alice is quite adamant in her goals and motives. Alongside Malone will be Swallowed Mark Patton (A Nightmare on Elm Street 2: Freddy’s Revenge), Cooper Koch (Blumhouses them) and debutant Jose Colon. This film is directed by Carter Smith, who is returning as a director after almost a decade hiatus and reunites with Malone in this film.
