Jennifer Aydin talks about her relationship with her mother in February 2021

Aydin and her mother were going through a tough time in 2021. While talking to TooFab in February 2021, the reality TV personality shared that she and Altinel do not have words to each other. She explained that she decided to let her father, John Altinel, stay with her after her brother, Michael, moved to Turkey with his wife, Melda. She noted that her brother had lived with her parents, who were separated, and was a “buffer zone” for most of their fights.

“My dad and my mom were stuck together, it ended up driving them crazy. So I just thought it would be better if my dad moved out of there, you know, to help my mom let him live here so she wouldn’t have to get mad at him. They don’t need to argue too much because it’s toxic energy and I feel like no one needs to live life like that, especially the chapters they’re in,” Aydin explained.

She noted that she decided to let her father stay with her because they were living in her mother’s house.

“I won’t take her out of the house. I like it’s easier to take my dad away. Plus, he’s on a cane and doesn’t drive, he’s on a lot of drugs, he’s not always in his right mind,” said the Bravo star.

Aydin went on to say that her mother was not satisfied with her new living situation and did not talk to her daughter.

“She was angry at my father for agreeing to stay here, she was angry at me for participating, she was angry at me for sharing this with the world,” the mother of five shared.

Aydin shared that she and her mother ‘made it’ in May 2021

In May 2021, Aydin let her Instagram followers knew that she and her mother had overcome their grievances with each other.

“I am happy to announce that my mother and I have made up! People with strong family values find each other, time will heal all wounds in the end! ” shared the “RHONJ” star in the caption.

She also notes that she and her mother went to Turkey to spend time with Michael’s son John Brian.

“[L]I love you mom and I’m sorry that I hurt you [folded hands emoji] Let’s get this family back together! ” read part of the caption of the post.
