Jennifer Lawrence spoke openly about her audition duskt and was rejected “immediately” only to land The hunger Games one year later.

“My life would have been completely different,” she said. “I mean, the work is still the same because I felt similar at the time hunger games. I have to produce films in between so that I’m not only known for this franchise. I was still in a franchise, so I was still trying to counteract the franchise character, and I would continue to do that if I was in it dusk.”

She revealed that she almost didn’t agree hunger games because she was worried about the huge fan base that might come with it. The Oscar winner explained that she tried to talk to people about how interested she was in joining a big franchise, but they didn’t get what she was trying to say.

“It was so hard to explain to people,” Lawrence continued. “I don’t think you understand that notoriety… I just assumed it would be duskHow dusk-Level Fame, and that’s just never been my intention.”

Instead of superstartum silver linings Playbook star shared that she just wanted to work on quality projects.

“I wanted to do indies and I wanted to make good movies, but I didn’t want to be the most famous person on the planet,” she said, adding that she would have been “miserable” had she landed dusk. “It’s a very different life than I imagined.”

Lionsgate restarts The hunger Games with The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes, which takes place several decades before the events of the original franchise. The film follows an 18-year-old Coriolanus Snow (Tom Blyth) before he becomes the tyrannical President of Panem during the 10th Annual Hunger Games and pays tribute to District 12 Lucy Gray Baird (Rachel Zegler).

The prequel features an all-new cast, but Lawrence recently said she wouldn’t turn down the possibility of one day returning to Katniss Everdeen.
