It is official! Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck’s marriage certificate has just been released. The two wed on July 17, 2022 and revealed all the details of the chapel wedding in Las Vegas.
The marriage license was signed in Clark County, Nevada and the marriage was officiated by Pastor Ryan Wolfe with Kenosha Booth as maid of honor. The certificate details show that Benjamin Geza Affleck and Jennifer Lynne Lopez were married and J-Lo would take her husband’s last name, making her Jennifer Affleck. The couple also listed their homes in Santa Monica, California.
TMZ first broke the news when they received their marriage license from Clark County, Nevada. In her newsletter OntheJlo, J-Lo revealed all the details about her wedding to Ben. “Last night we flew into Vegas, queued for a license with four other couples and all made the same trip to the wedding capital of the world,” she wrote on July 17, 2022. “Behind us, two men were holding hands and holding each other. Before us, a young couple who made the three-hour drive from Victorville on their daughter’s second birthday—we all want the same thing—for the world to recognize us as partners and for the world to recognize our love through the ancient and almost universal symbol of marriage .” She signed the newsletter, “With love, Mrs. Jennifer Lynn Affleck.”
When Jennifer and Ben first got engaged in 2003, the Marry me Star hinted that she would take Ben’s last name if they got married. “I want to know what your name will be a week after your wedding?” Access Hollywood’s Pat O’Brien she asked. “Jennifer Lopez, but of course my name will be Jennifer Affleck,” she confirmed, also noting that she will be adding her new last name to her stationery. “J. Aff… doesn’t quite sound like it, but…” she laughed.
J-Lo and The last duel Star previously dated from 2001 to 2004 after meeting on the set of the rom-com Gigli. The couple called off their engagement in 2004. “I confirm the report that Jennifer Lopez ended her engagement to Ben Affleck,” J-Lo’s rep said in a statement at the time. “At this difficult time, we ask that you respect their privacy.”
The couple got back together in April 2021. Jennifer and Ben announced their engagement on April 8, 2022 in Jen’s newsletter On the JLo. Jennifer was the first sighted with the green engagement ring on April 7, rumors caused the couple to be engaged again after 18 years. Lopez’ sister confirmed the announcement also took to Instagram with a picture of the stunning ring, writing: “So that’s what happened. I love you @Jlo #benaffleck.”
The newlyweds just spent their honeymoon with their children in Paris, France. On July 21, 2022, J-Lo and Ben were spotted at Le Matignon restaurant in Paris, France. The couple shared a kiss at the dining table in front of Ben’s daughter Violet, 16. The two were later spotted having a romantic moment on the morning of July 22, 2022. A witness saw the pair cuddling and kissing on a bench for two hours and told People what the two were like cute.you were like two teenagers on a park bench – very loving, very attentive,” the eyewitness said.
