Fans are loving Jenny Marrs’ throwback post

HGTV host Jenny Marrs shared a review video on Instagram this week as she and husband Dave revealed the gender of their youngest son Luke to their four older children, and fans broke out over daughter Charlotte’s hilarious reaction.

“We let the kids know they have a little brother on the way. Charlotte really wanted a little sister back then, but graciously, she loves her little Lukey. Now we can look back at her reaction and chuckle because these two share the strongest bond and have had since his very first day on earth,” Jenny wrote in the caption of the post.

In the video, which was captured in late 2018, Jenny and Dave Marrs give their four oldest children, Nathan, Ben, Sylvie and Charlotte, a bag full of books and toys, confirming their new baby is a boy and the family was Daughter Charlotte was thrilled to have a new baby brother and immediately burst into tears as she hoped for another sister.

Fans can’t help but laugh at Charlotte’s reaction to having a baby brother

Fans loved seeing Jenny and Dave Marr’s daughter Charlotte’s candid reaction to not having a baby sister like she had hoped and are happy to hear that her sadness faded once she met baby Luke. Many even told similar stories of their own.

“I know Charlotte loves Luke but her reaction was priceless,” one fan wrote.

“Awww, so funny and cute! When I announced I was pregnant with a fourth child (22 years ago), my oldest child, son Tyler, cried and said, ‘You can’t even take care of the ones you have!’ 😳😂 He was almost 7 then. LOL,” commented another fan.

“When my niece, who was seven or eight at the time, found out she was having a second little brother and not a little sister, she just said, ‘Oh.’ No tears just disappointment,” added a third fan.

Jenny also shared a lesson she draws from the hilarious video, writing in the caption, “Just a reminder for all of us: sometimes we’re surprised by news and refuse to believe it’s for our best because it is unexpected and not what we had hoped for. And when that happens, it’s okay to cry and mourn the plans we held so tight. In these moments we need to give ourselves grace. We need to take a deep breath and keep going even when we are tired and sad.”


Charlotte & Luke Marrs appear in the season 4 premiere of Fixer to Fabulous

The video of Charlotte crying at the introduction of a little brother is now just a memory as it took place four years ago this week. Now grown and best friends, Charlotte and Luke appeared together in the season four premiere of Fixer to Fabulous in late November.

In a sneak peek, Jenny Marrs posted Instagramthe two children help their parents design a craft table for their customers. Charlotte recommends putting a real horse by the table, and Luke adds that he’d like a digger. While parents couldn’t implement these suggestions, fans loved their creativity, with one fan commenting, “My crafting table doesn’t have any of these things, I think I need to up my game!” 😂” and another adds: “Farm kids have very different needs 🤣”
