Jessica Simpson is open about the experience of being “any size”.

The 41-year-old singer and fashion designer said in a recent interview with People that she believes all bodies should be celebrated regardless of their shape or size, and that despite the changes in her figure over the years, she’s had that attitude.

Referring to her eponymous clothing collection and how it appeals to women of all sizes, Simpson – who has addressed public weight gain and loss over the years – explained that it was made this way “because I’m everyone.” was greatness.”

“So I understand the mentality of all women, and I understand loving where you are, or wanting more, or wanting something better,” Simpson said. “I understand that.”

The mother-of-three also shared that she was shocked by her body’s ability to return to its pre-baby size.

She admitted that she once thought she would never see herself in a bikini again after her pregnancy. She emphasized that she’s been “happy at any size” except for her weight “at the end” of her pregnancies, and has always “hugged” her body.

“I always celebrate my body,” she continued. “The fact that it’s produced children is unreal, … but you just never think you’ll fit into things again. It’s crazy. A woman’s body is phenomenal at what it can do.”

Earlier this month, Simpson shared snaps of himself wearing bikinis during a family trip to Cabo San Lucas, Mexico. In the caption, she told her followers that she thought she’d never feel comfortable wearing the swimwear again.

“I never thought about wearing a bikini again because I was stretched out like the couch,” she said. “So being able to put on a bikini … I just didn’t think that was even a goal until I put it on and I was like, ‘I think I was scared of it.'”

In her Instagram post, the singer shared that she’d gained and lost 100 pounds three times, so she never thought about wearing bikinis again. To her, “hard work, determination, and self-love” helped her take this step.

As for how she maintains her physique, Simpson said she exercises regularly, including weight training. She also shared that she enjoys going for a walk with her husband Eric Johnson because it not only keeps them in shape but also gives them a chance to bond.

“For Eric and I, running is so good because on walks we get creative and talk things through,” Simpson shared. “It’s a really inspiring talk. That’s good for our relationship — and that’s cardio.”

Simpson and Johnson share three children: daughters Maxwell, 9, and Birdie, 3, and son Ace, 8. She was previously married to Nick Lachey from 2002 to 2006.
