Jets without Aaron Rodgers are not very good

The Jets are quickly realizing that not every game will be like it was in Week 1, when Josh Allen and the Buffalo Bills gave them a win. Life without Aaron Rodgers will be the same as it was before he arrived. All this talk about working with Zach Wilson already seems like a big mistake. It’s easy to see that the Jets won’t be as good as they hoped without A-Rod.

What Mike Greenberg is proposing probably needs to happen soon. With head coach Robert Saleh and the Jets apparently not interested Free agent options, maybe trading for a quarterback is the solution. Even though they acquired Rodgers this way, something needs to be done quickly. You can no longer live in the NFL from good defense alone. The days of arguing are over.

At this rate, the Jets could be out of the playoff race in November unless they get a true QB under center. Rodgers speaks of return in a few months for the playoff push, but if they don’t get a real replacement soon, there won’t be one. It probably won’t be Kirk Cousins, but there are much better options than who they want to go with in Rodgers’ absence.

You’d think Saleh would want to go down with the best possible option, and maybe he does. Maybe it’s the front office that wants to stick with Wilson for another 15 games. After all, they are 1:1. Their next four games are against New England, Kansas City, Denver and Philly. If the Jets lose to the Patriots next week, it will be time to cancel Christmas. This goose is cooked; everything is over.

Even the winnable games on the schedule become huge question marks when Wilson takes snaps. With Wilson as QB, games against the Pats, Texans and Raiders become questionable. One would assume that they could beat Houston regardless of who handles the ball, but Wilson simply hasn’t shown much growth since entering the league.

Just when Jets fans thought it was safe to go outside, here’s what happens. Oh man, it’s going to be another long year for Gang Green. Jets without Aaron Rodgers are not very good
