The Biden White House has a serious retention problem when it comes to the communications team.
President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris watched the media staff run to the exit like a child running for an ice cream truck.
And it makes sense. Who would want to have to clean up the bad guys and what seems to be a policy change almost daily after being promised that this is the governing body where the adults will return to the room, professional and experienced?
Now, the media team is shedding blood for First Lady Jill Biden.
Michael LaRosa, who has been her press secretary since 2019, is leaving her position to join Hamilton Place Strategies – a public affairs firm.

The first lady told CNN, “For nearly three years, from the campaign to the White House, Michael has brought his encyclopedic knowledge of politics and the media to my team as spokesperson. and my advisor.”
“In a small team, loyalty and friendship are lifelong – we will miss Michael. However, we are delighted for him to start a new chapter in his career,” she added.
CNN noted that LaRosa’s departure “has been known inside the East Wing over the past few weeks.”
Earlier this month, the first lady faced criticism over remarks she made at an outreach event for Spaniards.
“[Raul Yzaguirre] helped build this organization with the understanding that the diversity of this community, as distinct as the bogedas [sic] of the Bronx, as beautiful as the flowers in Miami, and as unique as the breakfast pancakes in San Antonio, are your strengths,” she said.

Amid the backlash that followed, LaRosa tweeted, “First Lady apologizes that her words conveyed anything but pure admiration and love for the Latino community.”

LaRosa’s departure is just the latest in a string of communications assistants leaving.
Earlier this month, it was reported that Harris’s lyricist – who was hired in April – would be leaving. White House Communications Director Kate Bedingfield will also leave her post.
These latest departures also come after NBC News reported that the White House is “considering a major overhaul of the press and media outlets” to help strengthen the president’s message ahead of the election. midterm elections.
But given the whimsical wording—salads, gaffes, and other simple comments—continues despite the sales, it seems the problem may not be entirely with the media team.
