Jim Harbaugh Named AP Coach of the Year

Michigan Wolverines coach Jim Harbaugh has been named the Associated Press Coach of the Year for the 2021 college football season. University of Cincinnati head coach Luke Fickell was runner-up in the poll.

College football insider Brett McMurphy reported the news via Twitter on Friday.

Harbaugh has an overall record of 12-1 in 2021, an 8-1 record in the Big Ten. They will eventually win the Big Ten championship. Michigan’s only loss was against the same state rival Michigan State Spartans with only 4 points.

The werewolves were also able to beat hot rival Ohio State for the first time under Harbaugh. This was their first win in the series since 2011. After winning the Big Ten in Iowa, Michigan was seeded second in the College Rugby Round. This is the team’s first year participating in the knockout round.
