“He woke up this morning and said he wanted to be a ‘tire man’ and then he changed his mind and wanted to be a butterfly catcher and that became a fire maker. Life is fun with this little guy,” Joanna captioned the post.
In the video, Crew can be seen inflating a bike tire for his mom and charging her $10 for it. The two play as if Joanna is pretending her name is “Pam”. After Joanna spots a butterfly in the driveway, the two go into the woods with a net to catch butterflies and have a picnic. Crew even takes his mother to his secret fortress.

Chip and Joanna Gaines learned life lessons from the crew
Crew is Chip and Joanna Gaines’ fifth child, after Drake (17), Ella (16), Duke (14) and Emmie (12). In conversation with entertainment tonightthe “Fixer Upper” couple spoke about what it was like having Crew eight years after their last child and the lessons they learned in raising him.
“Crew, really, just something about him was almost like a parachute on the end of a race car. It didn’t force us to hit the brakes, in a negative way, it allowed us to really stop,” Chip said.
“What Crew brought me is just the idea of stopping and seeing the moments around me that are full of wonder,” Joanna added, saying that those moments of wonder could be as simple as “a flower growing in the… grass grows”.
Chip and Joanna both make sure to capture all sorts of moments, big and small, on social media to connect with fans and look back at the memories they made with Crew.
In April 2022, Chip took Crew out for a run at the Silo District Marathonorganized by the Gaines company magnolia and collects money for both Brave Like Gabe Foundation and the Community Cancer Association of Waco. Gabe Grunewald, after whom the Brave Like Gabe Foundation is named, was a friend of Chip’s and a professional runner who died of adenoid cystic cancer in 2019. The foundation funds research into rare cancers and supports survivors.
