Joe Gorga criticizes Gia Giudice’s role on RHONJ

Joe Gorga isn’t afraid to share his thoughts on his niece’s role in Season 12 of The Real Housewives of New Jersey.

during one March 30 episode of “Real Housewives of New Jersey: After Show,” Gorga opened up about Gia Giudice’s involvement in the drama on the show, explaining that he thinks she’s just “too young.” During this aftershow episode, the cast spoke about the moment Giudice star confronted Margaret Josephs about not wearing her mother’s new training line while playing in a charity softball game.

“I think she’s just too young to be involved right now,” Gorga said during the aftershow. “I just want her to be just happy, to be a 20-year-old and just enjoy her life. She’s been through enough s*** in her life, don’t get involved in that stuff, you know?”

Gorga isn’t the only Real Housewives of New Jersey star who thinks Giudice shouldn’t be involved in the drama. Margaret Josephs also seemed to agree with him during the after show.

“I was upset,” Josephs admitted. “I just thought Gia is a nice young woman. She doesn’t have to be in this drama.”

Giudice fought with her uncle on camera earlier this season

This isn’t the first time Gorga has contradicted his niece’s behavior. At the beginning That season, Gorga and Giudice competed during their mother’s, Teresa Giudice’s, pool party. Back then, Giudice and her sisters were upset with their uncle after he had an argument with their father, Joe Giudice, in the press.

“But it’s the whole thing, people get hurt and people get offended by things other people say, but that’s why you people just shouldn’t speak up, like Dad doesn’t deserve,” Giudice said during the episode her uncle.

“What… Gia, what? I hear you talking,” Gorga replied at the time.

Giudice then suggested that her uncle was being disrespectful to her. “Are you going to disrespect me because then I won’t talk to you,” Giudice replied.

“If you want to say something, go ahead,” Gorga said to Giudice. “Because I’m your uncle and I’m your godfather. I’m older than you, but keep talking.”

During the March 30 episode of “Real Housewives of New Jersey: After Show,” Teresa Giudice admitted she was happy when her daughter filled in for her in the softball game against Margaret Josephs. Giudice even went so far as to say she loved it.

“I love that, I love that she has my back, I always want her to have her sister’s back, that’s the way it should be,” Giudice explained. “It felt good because I don’t have too many people to advocate for me, so I was like, ‘This is my daughter.’ I love it. It was a good feeling.”
