Joe Mixon not suspected of shooting outside his home: police

Police in Anderson Township, Ohio are investigating a shooting that injured a youth Monday night and a home linked to the Cincinnati Bengals’ Joe Mixon is part of the investigation.
Updated: Hamilton County published the incident report and Joe Mixon is not named as a suspect.
“I believe this matter will probably be resolved by this time next week.” Merlin Shiverdecker, who is part of the Cincinnati RB legal team, said ESPN on Thursday.
Details are sparse, and most of what’s out there right now are clips from around the web, so no one has any idea what happened. The only thing we officially have is a statement that WLWT-Cincinnati received from the police.

“We can confirm that a portion of the crime scene involves a home associated with Bengals player Joe Mixon,” the sheriff’s office said.
Hamilton County Sheriff’s Deputy entered the house early Tuesday morning.
Law enforcement has not said if Mixon, 26, is linked in any way. The only person who said Mixon was not involved was his sister Shalonda, who also spoke to WLWT.
“Our investigators will continue to carefully review this evidence and conduct interviews,” the police said in a statement. “We hope to provide a more comprehensive update on the investigation later this week.”
The Mixon representative and the Bengals did not immediately respond to requests for comment from multiple news outlets.
Joe’s family has publicly defended him against allegations related to gun crime is an ongoing trend as it was his mother who came to his side after he was accused of threatening a woman with a gun around the time of the Bengals’ playoff game against the Buffalo Bills in January. This case was eventually dropped.
This is evolving news, we will update this article as we learn more.
