Alicia was the fuel for my biggest dreams. The inspiration behind every creative thought. The very fabric of my soul. The glue that held me together. I miss her more than words can describe. Pain is too small a word. Sadness is too small a word. Love itself is too small a word.
Thank you for your thoughts, concerns and prayers. Keep posting the beautiful photos you took of me and my smile to change our world and sometimes yours, one kiss at a time, because these images help. Keep praying for the strength of me and my wonderful family to get through these most difficult of times.
If you see me anywhere on stage or in line at a café, please don’t ask me how I’m doing. The answer is “broken” and it’s too hard for me to fathom right now and certainly too painful to put into words.
She loved you all and spoke of how devoted and loyal you were over the years and I love you as much as she does. Just with me on this rutted and treacherous road that I never dreamed I would have to travel. Be patient with my unimaginable process. Thank you Lord for sharing Alicia’s gift with me. I will never be the same and I know that somehow we are and always will be Team To Beat.

Our treasure trove of music and films created at JSS is certainly proof of that. We haven’t set up anything to accept donations on her behalf and I don’t think I will. If instead you want to show your support for our dream, by all means find an indie artist and support them. If we’re that indie artist, head into our store and pick a dream or two off the shelf and add them to your cart. I would appreciate it and I know she would too.”
