JoJo Siwa stars in new horror thriller
Dancing With the Stars runner-up actress and pop star JoJo Siwa has landed a starring role in a new horror thriller, All My Friends Are Dead.
meeting first announced that Siwa would be cast alongside in the new film Jade Pettyjohn.
“I’m so grateful for the opportunity to be a part of the upcoming movie ‘All My Friends Are Dead,'” Siwa said in a statement obtained by Deadline. “This is a project so different from anything I’ve done before; However, I love horror movies and can’t wait to start producing! I’m also looking forward to working with Jade again. We worked together when we were younger and can’t wait to make this film together.”
The film is still being cast, but filming is expected to begin in Canada in spring 2023.
Accordingly Damn disgusting, The film “follows a group of close college friends as they snag a bargain on a killer Airbnb for the biggest music festival of the year. A weekend of partying quickly takes a turn for the worse as the group is murdered one by one. They soon discover that each of their deaths corresponds directly to one of the seven deadly sins.”
The film was written by Josh Sims and Jessica Sarah Flaum and produced by John Baldecchi, Jason Resnick and Kevin Greutert.
“The script has an entertaining mix of humor and horror that will appeal to die-hard horror fans, comedy lovers and cowards alike,” Baldecchi told Deadline. “Reminiscent of hits like Happy Death Day and full of fun, the film is equally chilling with clever plot twists that will keep you guessing until the end.”
JoJo Siwa celebrated 2 years since coming out
In a touching Instagram post, Siwa reflected on the two-year anniversary of her public coming out as gay.
“2 years ago today,” Siwa wrote alongside a photo of herself wearing a t-shirt that read “Best. Cheerful. Cousin. Always.” She added, “Now looking back on everything…. I’m so proud of 17-year-old JoJo.”
you later shared a post looking back at moments in her life when she should have known she was gay. In the video, she pokes fun at her outfit at a dance rehearsal and recalls that “softball season was always my favorite time of year.”
However, some fans weren’t happy with the video, saying that Siwa was perpetuating stereotypes that aren’t necessarily true.
“It’s weird how the conversation started when … we need to break gender stereotypes and here we are feeding gender stereotypes.” one person wrote.

JoJo Siwas Valentine was a professional dancer who dances with the stars
In a Valentine’s Day post Siwa revealed that her valentine for the year was to professional dancer Ezra Sosa, who is also her best friend.
“I didn’t have a late night Valentine’s Day when bestie Westie texted Ezra… everyone needs someone in their life to cry, laugh and be themselves with,” Siwa wrote in the Instagram post. “Besides my family, ez is that person for me. My everyday Valentine’s Day for the rest of our lives. He’s going to kill me for posting this picture from last year’s tour, but I had to. Ez is my most supportive in everything I do… other than my kiss, he rated it a 2/10, but he still asked me to be his valentine. Happy Valentine’s Day from your favorite gays!!”
Sosa and Siwa became close friends after they were both cast in season 30 of Dancing With the Stars. After the season, Sosa joined Siwa’s live tour as a professional dancer and they have been close ever since.
Dancing With the Stars is slated to return to Disney+ in fall 2023.
