Jolley’s chemist has been recognized for his efforts during the pandemic

Jolley’s Chemist on Newton High Street received a Certificate of Recognition from the St Helens Health and Care Community for the pharmacy’s dedicated work during and after the pandemic.

The pharmacy has played an important role in supporting vulnerable people in Newton during the Covid-19 pandemic.

Commenting on the recognition, Paul Doherty, co-owner of Newton Pharmacy said: “It was great to receive the certificate; it is currently difficult in any healthcare sector and especially in pharmacy.

“The team is delighted with the recognition and we intend to continue to provide excellent service to our community.”

Paul took over Jolleys along with his business partner Martin Stratton in June last year, with the couple receiving Arthur Jolley’s blessing to continue his work in the community.
