90min have reported that Monaco will pay Liverpool an initial transfer fee of €15m (£12.91m) for the 27-year-old.
Takumi Minamino leaves Liverpool for AS Monaco
Anfield exit makes sense
In our view, it would make sense for Takumi Minamino to leave Liverpool for AS Monaco in the summer transfer window.
The Japanese star has struggled for playing time at Liverpool and is clearly not a player-manager who Jurgen Klopp thinks he can play regularly for the first-team.
After all, Minamino did just a start last season in the Premier League.
Monaco are a big club and could play in the group stage of the UEFA Champions League next season.
Minamino has plenty of experience and could play regularly for Monaco next season.
