Diogo Jota has revealed he has been subjected to swear words from a certain Jordan Henderson at Liverpool from time to time.
Henderson is one of Liverpool’s truly great captains and has guided the Reds to Champions League and Premier League glory over the past three years.
No one becomes such an influential leader without setting high standards—of both themselves and their teammates.
And Jota has revealed it via the Anfield outfit official site that the North East midfielder sometimes directs a few ‘bad words’ at him.
Talking to a documentary about the former Sunderland player – Jordan Henderson is never done – said the Portugal international: “To be honest, it’s the first time I’ve had a player like Jordan on the pitch – he’s always trying to talk to you, not always good words! He drives you forward, the role of a manager within the field. I know I can’t rest for a second because he’s going to go head-to-head against me.”
Henderson has proven to be an insane bargain from Liverpool.
The Reds just spent 20 million pounds Signing him from the Black Cats in 2011, given the accolades he helped Jurgen Klopp’s side with, he will be remembered as one of their greatest captains of all time.
Henderson, who learned under the legendary Steven Gerrard, has never been anything but an inspirational figure on and off the field, and while he’s 32 now, there’s no doubt he’ll be just as influential in the next term.
