And then Christian Falk, the reliable journalist from Bild, confirmed yesterday that the Reds are really interested.

Ramsay is a right-back and although Klopp has one of the best in the sport in Trent Alexander-Arnold, nobody can match him.

Well there’s Joe Gomez who can certainly do a job there but he is linked with a summer move away from Merseyside, as is Neco Williams, who is on loan in the Championship.

Here’s what Squires said The echo when asked if Ramsey was available.

He said: “Without giving too much away, there could certainly be some movement at right-back this summer.”

Despite being only 18, Ramsay has created nine assists for the Dons this season.

He’s already looking like a younger, Scottish version of Alexander-Arnold, who is arguably the best attacking right-back in world football right now and will almost certainly end the season with more than 20 assists.

A move to Liverpool definitely makes sense and considering all sources it might just be a matter of time.
