Julia Fox posts $450,000 bail for ‘mad scientist’ brother accused of running ‘ghost guns’ operation

Julia Fox joined her estranged father in signing her brothers’ $450,000 bail after their Manhattan home was raided last week.

Police arrested Christopher Fox, 33, on suspicion of running a ghost weapons trafficking operation from the Upper East Side apartment he shared with his father Thomas Fox, 65.

Model Julia signed the bond that would allow her younger brother to be released from Rikers Island on Monday.

Fox is accused of using 3D printers to create gun parts that could be assembled and sold as untraceable “ghost guns,” prosecutors say.

His father was also arrested along with his son on suspicion of drugs and weapons, but he was not charged with anything.

Fox was charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance, manufacture of a machine gun and manufacture of a modified rapid-fire device. He was charged on Thursday.

Julia reportedly severed ties with her brother and father years ago, a source exclusively told DailyMail.com.

But the Uncut Gem actress seems to have put the past behind her, as celebrity bailiff Ira Judelson told the New York Post that she “seemed excited” because “it’s her brother.”

The bail receipt shows Julia and her parents signed the bail, with the star listing her occupation as “actress/model” with the word “retiree.”

According to officials, Fox’s bond was collateralised with assets owned by both Julia and her father.

At a previous court hearing, Assistant District Attorney Cyril Heron detailed the extent of the investigation that had involved Fox.

He said: “Between March 2018 and December 2022, the defendant purchased at least 190 spirit weapon items totaling over $7,600. All of these items were sent to the defendant’s home.”

“More than $8,000 in cash was also confiscated. Notably, the NYPD has not recovered a significant number of the items reflected in his purchase history, suggesting that he manufactured and sold ghost weapons.

“The defendant possessed enough gun parts to assemble an assault rifle.”

Prosecutors allege Christopher collected approximately $345,000 in illegal gun sales through his CashApp account between April 2020 and January 2023.

Christopher has already been arrested twice, with officers finding ghost weapons, bomb-making materials and evidence of narcotics manufacture in the 6am March 8 raid.

Photos show a chaotic scene at the home where unidentified pills, a pill press, fentanyl, pressure cookers, chloroform, heroin, propane, explosives and formaldehyde were also reportedly caught.

Investigators discovered 3D printers on the property that they believe are used to manufacture the Ghost Guns – firearms with no traceable serial numbers.

There was also a treasure trove of illegal materials, including thousands of dollars worth of luxury wine bottles.

“She was aware of her father and brother’s 3D printing and suspected drug use, but has no direct knowledge of it because she hasn’t been in contact with either of them,” the source said.

“Her father is insane and has caused her emotional trauma that she will have to deal with for the rest of her life. She knew his life would catch up with him one day. She’s glad no one was hurt by his disgusting actions.’

In a 2019 interview with High Snobiety, Julia said she doesn’t often see her father or “hermit” brother, whom she described as a “mad scientist.”

Authorities say the investigation into the operation found in the 84th Street apartment is ongoing.
