Justin Timberlake Responds to Britney Spears’ Pregnancy with Sam Asghari

A strange encounter. Justin Timberlake has reacted to Britney Spears’ pregnancy announcement and the internet reels over his response. Timberlake and his boyfriend were caught by paparazzi asking the “Mirrors” singer for his thoughts on the pregnancy.

Timberlake yelled back, “Stop. Go away!” He motioned for the paparazzi to leave and stamped his feet as he approached the entrance. “[He] made me stomp,” Timberlake said from afar.

Remarkably, Timberlake and Spears dated from 1998 to 2002, when they both rose to fame. Timberlake canned supporting comment addressed to Spears after her conservatory ended on June 23, 2021: “From what we’ve seen today, we should all be supporting Britney at this point. Regardless of our past, good or bad, and no matter how long ago it was…” he tweeted. “What is happening to her is just not right. No woman should ever be restricted from making decisions about her own body.”

In the past was Timberlake criticized for misogynist statements to his ex-girlfriend and Superbowl performing partner Janet Jackson. He issued an apology statement addressed to both of them. “I am deeply sorry for the times in my life when my actions contributed to the problem, when I spoke inappropriately or did not speak out for what was right. I understand that in those moments and many others I have come up short and benefited from a system that condones misogyny and racism.” He continued on the Instagram post, “I would like to specifically thank Britney Spears and Janet Jackson sorry because I care and respect these women and I know I failed.”

Timberlake’s reaction to the pregnancy stunned the internet. Most Britney supporters considered it rude not to celebrate her pregnancy. A Twitter user Quote tweeted the reaction, “Justin Timberlake only talks about Britney when it helps his career and image. The stupid dads have to know that.” Another Twitter user tweeted, “LOL his apology was definitely not sincere,” referencing the apologies above.

Britney Spears announced her pregnancy with fiancé Sam Ashgari in an Instagram post on April 11, 2022, six months after her conservatory ended. The announcement came after Spears accused her father, James Spears, of forcing her to use an IUD against her will. “I want to move forward incrementally and I want to have the real business, I want to be able to get married and have a baby,” Spears admitted at a June 2021 court hearing. “I was just told in conservatory , I’m not fit to get married or have a baby, I have an (IUD) in me right now so I’m not going to get pregnant.

On the other hand, Spear’s ex-husband Kevin Federline responded positively to the announcement. The ex-couple have two teenage sons together, Sean Preston, 16, and Jayden James. “Kevin is aware of Britney’s Instagram post,” K-Fed attorney Mark Vincent Kaplan told NBC News in a statement on April 11, 2022. “He wishes her the best in a happy, healthy pregnancy and congratulates her.” and [fiancé] Sam Asghari as they plan the excitement of parenthood together.”
