Claim of the Italian outlet CMW Juventus have included Tottenham defender Emerson Royal in their summer shortlist – incredibly, a fourth Spurs player linked with the old lady after Lucas Moura, Gio Lo Celso and Sergio Reguilon.
Emerson, 23, has endured a difficult first season in the Premier League with Spurs and Antonio Conte is unconvinced. Indeed, the Brazil international is on the verge of new competition in the form of Djed Spence, who has signed £15million.
Emerson was even overlooked at times for Matt Doherty before the Irishman suffered a lengthy injury. In total, the ex-Barcelona man has made 41 appearances for Spurs – but he may have already played his last game.
Juventus have previously been linked with Reguilon, Moura and Lo Celso and now they are considering Emerson. Spurs want a £21m fee for Emerson as Juventus look for long-term replacements for Danilo and Juan Cuadrado.

What a move it would be for Emerson. His time at Tottenham was bad. If he stays at the end, he might find his playing time starved. Conte prefers Doherty and will want to give Spence plenty of options.
Emerson could even become a third choice. He really needs to go if Spurs get a deal over the line for Spence. A move to Juventus would be great. That is, for a player who has had a really tough time over the last 12 months.
He may not be the only Spurs player swapping north London for Juventus – the old side of Antonio Conte and Fabio Paratici. A fascinating couple of weeks in terms of spending for Spurs.
