Kaitlyn Bristowe faces criticism for criticizing the airline

Kaitlyn Bristowe’s life has been full of ups and downs over the past few years thanks to her ongoing connections with Bachelor Nation, and she shares both the positives and the negatives via her social media pages. She can sometimes be perceived as quite a divisive personality within the franchise fanbase, and that certainly seemed to be the case with a newcomer Instagram story.

Bristowe expressed her frustration over an issue with an airline

The “Bachelorette” star is often on the road because of the many projects she has in the works, but she doesn’t always have the best experiences. Originally from Canada but now based in Nashville, Tennessee, she has also traveled extensively in connection with Bachelor Nation and Dancing with the Stars. While Bristowe certainly had many airline experiences that went smoothly, she also had her days when things went wrong. She sometimes takes to social media to speak out about the issues she encounters, and in some cases Bristowe receives significant backlash from franchise fans in response.

That seemed to be the case after Bristowe took her in Instagram stories amid recent travel troubles. In this case, the issue was related to baggage issues. The “Bachelorette” star shared a selfie of herself on a plane, noting issues she encountered and asking people to share something positive. Since this was on their Instagram Stories rather than a traditional Instagram post, people couldn’t comment publicly. However, it appeared that Bristowe had received some direct messages in response to what she had posted, and at least some of what she received was critical.

In her public response to criticism, she did not mince words

After sharing her frustration at her latest experience with her Instagram followers, Bristowe received a direct message criticizing her earlier post. “Actually, it’s really sad because the staff are working their ass off, but there’s a staff shortage,” the person’s note began. “So it’s not the nicest thing to pull an airline now because they’re really trying to keep up. With inflation and travel regulations, it’s difficult to get staff.”

Bristowe later shared a screenshot of that note, hiding the user’s name and adding a reply. “I totally understand that. But we also need to understand both sides,” she began. “We pay customers and some people HAVE to be places. I’m not trying to ‘haul’ an airline.” The former ‘Bachelorette’ added, “I’m just frustrated at how anyone would have been in these situations and would have been treated like trash by some employees.” If that particular person continued to respond, Bristowe has not made it public.

Rather than continue to publicly address the incident, Bristowe seemingly ended her travels and made it home. Her next Instagram Story, which she posted about eight hours after the airline response, featured her “Back home with the smooshes” as she watched a hockey game on TV and snuggled with one of her dogs. This wasn’t the first time someone had objected to something Bristowe said or did, nor was it the first time she’d clapped someone back. However, it looks like she’s doing her best to put this recent incident behind her completely and regroup now that she’s home.
