Kalvin Phillips shares what was never discussed at Leeds

Kalvin Phillips has made it clear that Leeds United members never discuss potential relegation.
The England international added: “We don’t have to talk about this possible scenario or situation.” as he said on Leeds United official website.
While the Yorkshire ship has now calmed down from the rocky and choppy waters, it was on board a few months ago.

Many would have prepared to put on their life jackets as it looked like they would make the leap from the Premier League to the Championship.
While it’s not mathematically confirmed that Leeds will survive, many feel the job is done as Phillips shared his thoughts on the matter.
“The goal is always to survive in the Premier League,” said Phillips. “We don’t really talk in the group like we’re going under or there’s a chance we’re going under, we’re always confident.
“That’s the way it should be, I think we don’t need to talk about that, we have important games until the end of the season.
“We have to do better than the teams around us and hopefully we can finish the season well.”
Jesse Marsch deserves credit for the work he’s done in such a short amount of time.
It was not only about quality, but also about making the players mentally relaxed and confident again.
Perhaps the best thing Marsch has done is what he said to his players rather than how he lined them up.
They were still up front, as they were under Marcelo Bielsa, but that man-to-man marking system has really been abandoned.
