Kathy Hilton releases statement after daughter’s baby news

Kathy Hilton has released a statement following her daughter’s surprise baby news.

On January 24, 2023, Paris Hilton announced that she welcomed her first child. The former reality star went to Instagram sharing a picture of her newborn’s hand holding her thumb in place, adding the caption, “You’re already loved beyond words.”

Hilton received dozens of congratulations from friends and fans, and many from her mother’s “Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” co-stars. However, Kathy Hilton did not comment on her daughter’s post. And while she re-shared Paris Hilton’s announcement on her Instagram Stories, it wasn’t until days later that she released any statement of any kind.

“Paris and Carter, we know you will make the greatest parents. We are so happy for you both! Thank you for making this the perfect addition to our ever-growing beautiful family,” Kathy Hilton said in a statement to People magazine.

Hilton’s statement comes weeks after she and her daughter had a minor public disagreement when they had conflicting views on Paris Hilton’s maternity trip.

“It has always been my dream to be a mother and I am so happy that Carter and I found each other. We are so excited to start our family together and our hearts are exploding with love for our little boy,” Hilton said after welcoming the child via surrogate.

However, just two months earlier, Paris Hilton and her mother shared two different stories about Paris Hilton’s future. In November 2022, Kathy Hilton gave an interview in which she discussed her daughter’s “struggle” with conceiving.

“It breaks my heart because I know she’s trying and trying and I always say just relax. So many people, so many people are fighting, and it doesn’t just happen,” she said said E! News.

A short time later, asked TMZ Paris Hilton on her mother’s comments, to which she replied: “I don’t know where she got that from. It was never a fight.”

Paris Hilton has not shared any additional baby updates

Paris Hilton has been active on social media since announcing the birth of her son but has not shared any further updates or details about her newborn.

The heiress chose to keep her baby news a secret, despite receiving messages asking when she was planning on having a baby. In November 2022, she took to her Instagram Stories to let fans know she was working on her own timeline.

“I get tons of texts from people asking me when I’m having a baby,” she wrote. according to page six. “My husband and I have always wanted to enjoy our first year of marriage as a couple, and we are doing so [sic] We always plan to start our family in 2023,” she added.

Paris Hilton and Carter Reum got married in Bel-Air in 2021. “I love being a wife,” she said to People magazine in January 2022. “Being married is such an amazing new chapter for both of us. We’ve been so close and inseparable for the last two years that it always felt like we were married. Just that I feel like I’m so looking forward to this next chapter in our lives and to starting a family together. [He’s] my best friend so it feels so safe to grow together,” she added.
