Kim Kardashian broke down in tears as she opened up about co-parenting with ex Kanye West.

The 42-year-old mogul, who recently shared a sweet throwback snap with mom Kris Jenner and her sisters, appeared on the Angie Martinez IRL Podcast on Monday, where she was overcome with emotion as she opened up about having four kids with the 45-year-old year olds to share -old rappers.

She explained that she tried to protect the children from the public trials and tribulations that the former power couple endured, but cried as she compared her children’s lives to hers being raised by the late attorney Robert Kardashian .

Kim started crying as she said, “I had the best dad. I don’t want to get emotional. It was just one day for me. It is difficult. S*** like co-parenting, it’s really fucking hard you know.

She filed for divorce from Kanye in February 2021, and the former couple are parents to four children: North, nine, Saint, six, Chicago, four, and Psalm, three.

Angie, 51, said Kim wouldn’t co-parent with the “quietest, easiest” former partner.

Kim replied: “Yes, but I had the best dad and I had the best memories and the greatest experiences and that’s all I want for my kids. As long as they can have that, I would want that for them, you know.

“So if they don’t know what’s being said or what’s happening in the world, why would I ever bring them that energy? You know, that’s like some really heavy, heavy adult s***. That they are not ready to deal with it.’

Last month, Kim and Kanye finally finalized their divorce after an ugly public battle that has raged for almost two years since their split.

The two have now reached an agreement over custody of their four children, parenting plans and splitting up their multi-million dollar real estate portfolio.

Kardashian, 42, will receive $200,000 a month in child support, TMZ reported Nov. 29 after reviewing court documents. West, 45, and Kardashian share joint custody and have “equal access” to their four children.

Insiders told TMZ that Kardashian will have custody of the kids most of the time.

Under the terms of the agreement, West will be responsible for 50 percent of the education and safety expenses for the four children.

West and Kardashian agreed to participate in mediation should they have a disagreement over parenting, according to the outlet. In the event of non-participation in the meeting, the parent present decides on the respective topic.

Kim married Kanye in Florence, Italy in 2014 and welcomed four children with him. She eventually filed to end the marriage in February 2021.
