Kim Kardashian fans react to star’s unfiltered photos, calling out ‘unrealistic standards’

Kim Kardashian was a vision in blue at the 2022 Oscars, but after spotting her paparazzi photos, fans are now comparing her to her “unrealistic” Instagram feed.

The Oscars after-party served up wild fashions that rivaled the real red carpet, and the Internet was there for that.

Laura Harrier was a fan favorite in her Off-White polka-dot dress; Michael B Jordan and Lori Harvey were pair goals; and Hunter Schafer exuded cool girly vibes in her seductive Rick Owens denim dress.

As always, the Kardashian-Jenners were in attendance, and Kendall and Kim rocked Balenciaga. The sister looked flawless as always, but after Getty released Kim’s close-up photos, fans began slamming her for setting unrealistic standards.

Kim attended the Vanity Fair party wearing a neon blue skintight dress with Balenciaga gloves. The outfit choice may not come as a surprise given her past Outfit selection with the brand.

The Skims founder sported flawless makeup and hair, but after professional photos picked up her not-quite-perfect skin, fans couldn’t help but comment on her Instagram Photoshop tendencies.

Her skin may not be as smooth as it appears on social media, but there’s no denying that her skin isn’t glowing.

A Reddit post called out for her edit, saying, “Kim should be careful with Photoshop.” Reddit users compared her Oscar look to a photo she uploaded a day earlier.

One person wrote: “Being so used to seeing the smoothed filtered photos it’s a bit of a shock when we get a real picture. She looks fabulous in both photos. But different.”

A second wrote: “Feelings the same. I saw all the Getty Images and was like woah. It’s not that they look bad without Photoshop. We’re just so used to seeing so much Photoshop that the real version ends up being a shock.”

A third added: “She looks good, they need to stop setting the unrealistic standards for themselves.”

It’s true that her skin isn’t perfect at the Oscars, but Instagram offers easy-to-use filters so celebs can’t be blamed for using them occasionally. Plus, the after-party photos are taken with flash, while Kim often poses in flattering natural light for the gram.

Fans have “outed” Kim Kardashian’s Photoshop fails before.

In January, the businesswoman deleted a photo of herself in Skims swimwear. It came after fans accused her of photoshopping her right leg, what allegedly looked warped.

In a January 2020 mirror image, her comments section was flooded with remarks about “nice deal” as the right side of the mirror panned.

Kim looked like she had six toes in a promotional photo for KKW X Kylie, prompting Photoshop speculation. However, she also appeared to have six toes in another photo after fans shared pictures online. Now we’re just not sure how many toes Kim actually has. The reality star has never responded to the rumors or speculation about Photoshop.

However, she has publicly spoken out about the “six toes” theory. She showed a video clip of her foot and explained that the sole of her foot flattens out as she walks. This creates the illusion that she has six toes – even though she only has five.

The answer is likely Kardashian confidential.
