Kim Kardashian Responds to Debra Messing, SNL Hosting

confusion in the air. Kim Kardashian responded to Debra Messing‘s tweet about the Overfly’s founder hosting Saturday night live on Hulu the kardashians, what was premiered weeks after Will & Grace Star questioned her hosting skills.

When the legendary comedy show’s October 2021 hosting slots were announced on September 24, 2021, Debra Messing tweeted, “Why Kim Kardashian? I mean, I know she’s a cultural icon, but SNL generally has hosts who are performers who are there to promote a movie, TV show, or album launch. Am I missing something?”

Many people came to Kim’s defense and listed Non-artists and non-comedians who have hosted SNL in the past. Brass clarified her statement about the Tamron Hall Show, “I love comedy and they’ve had this type of formula for decades and I’ve noticed they’ve changed the formula. So I was like, ‘Oh, is there a new TV show coming out of her? Has she published a book? Is she in a movie?’ And nothing came of her. Actually, her TV show had just ended. So I was just confused.”

However, Kim defended herself as she prepared for her hosting duties. “Listen, I’m the underdog. Everyone just thinks I’m a Ditz. The girl from Will & Grace came out and said she has no idea why I’m being chosen to host,” she said, directly referring to Messing. “But it’s like…why do you care? I don’t comment to tear people down, especially another woman. If that’s what you’re thinking, dude, then cool, but tune in…”
