She is also not afraid to flaunt her wealth. In fact, she’s so rich that she built a whole little town playhouses in her garden for her children.

When the average person thinks of playing in a backyard, you might think of a simple playground with swings and a slide. Some may have grown up with a seesaw or even a modest no-frills one-room playhouse. The last thing on your mind might be a Starbucks or a stocked mini-supermarket. But considering the Kardashians exist in a plane of reality separate from us normal humans, they have all of that and more in their backyard.
Outlets like buzz feed have already reported about pictures of X17 online shows the mini city that Kim built for her children in her garden. This town, identified by its own place name sign as “Lil’ Hidden Hills” (a reference to the gated community they live in), has miniature versions of real businesses. These include a KKW beauty shop, a Starbucks, the West Diner, a stocked mini-supermarket that could serve as a functional pantry, an ice cream lock, and even a fake ATM, among others.

People on social media were quick to point out the financial and social disparity between the Kardashian family and us regular folks.
A person on Twitter commented“It’s funny. Most kids play ambitiously like they are doctors or astronauts or whatever. These children pretend to be farmers. The rich are a different species altogether.”
Another person joked“Switched to work at Kardashian’s backyard Starbucks.”

On TikTok, user @kardashian_colloquium dove deep into the uncanny valley between the Kardashian lifestyle and literally everyone else.
“Let’s take a moment to realize that even in this backyard playtown, there’s corporate branding,” they comment, pointing to the mini-Starbucks in Lil’ Hidden Hills. They also point to Kim’s need to add her own brand to the tiny town as a confusing design decision.
Just as the rich tend to stray so far from reality with their lavish spending, so too must they subject their own children to the notion that our everyday lives boil down to their playtime.
