Kourtney Kardashian says she underwent ‘urgent fetal surgery’ to save her baby – The Hollywood Reporter
Kourtney Kardashian recently revealed during a hospital visit that she had to undergo “urgent fetal surgery” to save her and husband Travis Barker’s baby.
The Kardashians The star took to Instagram on Wednesday to share an update, days after Barker rushed home from the Blink-182 tour due to an “urgent family matter.”
“I will forever be grateful to my incredible doctors for saving our baby’s life,” Kardashian wrote in the caption of the post, followed by a photo of the couple holding hands. “I am eternally grateful to my husband, who rushed to my side from the tour to accompany me in the hospital and take care of me, my rock, afterwards. And thanks to my mother for holding my hand.”
She continued, “As someone who has had three very easy pregnancies in the past, I was unprepared for the fear of undergoing urgent fetal surgery. I don’t think anyone who hasn’t gone through a similar situation can even begin to understand this feeling of fear. I have a whole new understanding and respect for the mothers who struggled to care for their babies during pregnancy. praise be to god. Leaving the hospital safe and carrying my little boy was the greatest blessing.”
Also the drummer wrote on X (formerly known as Twitter): “God is great. I flew home for an emergency life threatening surgery on our baby which I am so thankful it went well. I would like to thank you for the support. The tour will resume on Friday.”
Blink-182 initially announced early Friday that the band were postponing their European tour dates after Barker had to travel back to the US due to an “urgent family matter,” but didn’t provide any further details at the time.
“The concerts in Glasgow, Belfast and Dublin will be postponed,” the band announced early Friday. “More information on his return to Europe and new dates will be released as soon as it becomes available.”
Kardashian and Barker began dating in early 2021 before tying the knot in May 2022. Then in June, the Poosh founder announced that she was officially expecting her fourth and first child with Barker. She also has three other children – Mason, Penelope, and Reign – with her ex-boyfriend Scott Disick, and Barker has two children, Landon and Alabama, with his ex-wife Shanna Moakler, and is also stepfather to their daughter Atiana De La Hoya.
