Labor Day Forecast

WLKY meteorologist Susanne Horgan takes a look at the hot Labor Day forecast and the likelihood of storms this week.

Mwlky, meteorologist Suzanne Horgan, we’re going to be talking about another day of warm weather this Labor Day. With temperatures above 90°C, the sky is mostly dry today. A little further west there could be patchy showers that can develop. But I think the vast majority of sites are certainly dry. We’ll be increasing our chance of rain as it looks for some of our western communities Tuesday and then looks like a good chance for some isolated showers and storms Wednesday through Thursday. Temperatures are getting a little cooler as your weekend approaches. Let’s take a look at the Labor Day forecast. It seems like a damn good prediction for getting on the trail bike and paddling in calm conditions as we’ve been out with this mix of clouds and sunshine all day and temperatures are getting back into the 90’s and pretty close to lying to those we had As we set out in the evening hours yesterday, as I mentioned earlier, there may be a chance of a heavy shower creeping into some of our western communities, which is not very likely. However, temperatures of 93 degrees can be seen. Give me another warm weather with this mix of sun and cloud cover, partly cloudy skies as we head into the nighttime hours with temperatures reaching 73 degrees. And for tomorrow temperatures will drop back into the low 90C ranges and some showers and storms are possible. On Wednesday we assume the risk of scattered showers and thunderstorm activity. And then it looks like this will continue into early Thursday. The closer the weekend gets, the slower the temperatures drop back to the lower 80°C mark.
