Women working in careers in the film industry were recognized at this year’s awards for advancing their roles in front of and behind the camera Women in Film Honors in Beverlyhills.

American actress, screenwriter and director Lake Bell was among the ladies who shaped the industry and lent her support to the organization’s annual gala event Thursday at the Beverly Hilton.

Before the writer and director of In A World…. took to the red carpet to show off her womanly curves in a sparkling black dress that offered more than a few hints at her legs and abs with its revealing design.

Bell, 43, turned more than a few heads as she stepped in front of photographers lined up along the red carpet.

The sexy yet elegant number hugged her figure and featured some skin along her waist with a few openings as well as her seemingly endless gams with a long slit down her left leg.

In fact, the opening on the right side was almost big enough to showcase her entire flying bird tattoo.

She also carried a small black clutch purse and accessorised with multiple bracelets and dangling earrings.

To complete her overall look, Bell styled her dark brown tresses long and flowing to about mid-back with a left part.

Several women were honored with the Crystal Award for Advocacy during the celebrations, including Quinta Brunson, Dede Gardner, Carrie Mulligan, Megan Twohey, Gina Prince-Bythewood, Katie Silberman and Olivia Wilde.

The Jane Fonda Humanitarian Award went to Ghanaian-British screenwriter and actress Michaela Coel; while the WIF Max Mara Of The Future Award was presented to Riverdale actress Lili Reinhart, 26.

The list of presenters included Jane Fonda, Viola Davis, Channing Dungey, Angelique Jackson, Miranda July, Lashana Lynch, Sheryl Lee Ralph, Reed Morano, Thuso Mbedu and Maria Julia Prezioso Maramotti.

Actress and singer Da’Vine Joy Randolph, 36, known for her work on Broadway as well as roles in film and television, hosted the gala.

Founded in 1973 as Women In Film Los Angeles, WIF champions the advancement of career women working in the film industry—both in front of and behind the camera and across all levels of experience—to achieve parity and transform culture.
