Vanderpump Rules star Lala Kent revealed on her podcast Give Them Lala that she had a negative interaction with the paparazzi.

During recording the April 18 podcast episodeKent told her assistant Jessica that she was photographed attending a first birthday party for her former Vanderpump Rules co-stars Jax Taylor and Brittany Cartwright’s son Cruz.

“There was this guy there, paparazzi, and I just wasn’t in the mood. I wasn’t in the mood. And he kept clicking and I tried to duck and dodge, he kept moving…he didn’t go to the party, he was outside and I got in my car. So I tried to go through the passenger side because I didn’t want to, I didn’t want to, I’m leaving a little kid’s birthday party,” Kent shared.

The Bravo personality went on to say that she has repeatedly asked the paparazzi not to photograph her.

“I looked at him and said, ‘Stop, stop, stop taking that damn picture.’ And he ends up with a million and one photos and walks away and I’m like, ‘Is that the kind of photographer you are? You could be at the Kardashians taking pictures of people from Vanderpump Rules and he’s like, “You’re better than that Lala.” And I’m like I haven’t really done anything, I’m just telling him I don’t want my picture taken right now will,” said the mother-of-one.

The 31-year-old then shared that she “felt guilty” and regretted being frustrated with the photographer. She explained that she believes paparazzi and reality TV stars like herself have a symbiotic relationship.

“This guy out here makes a paycheck without making fun of either of us, I don’t make a paycheck. You know, like he keeps me relevant and relevant, people listen to my podcast, people go and buy my book, people buy my makeup, people watch the show like we all feed ourselves differently and I was mad at myself for telling him to stop,” Kent said.

She then apologized to the photographer for the “litter[ing] an insult.”

“If he’s listening, it had nothing to do with you, it had everything to do with me and I’m sorry I was just in a zone,” the Bravo star shared.

When speaking to Access Hollywood in November 2021, Cartwright shared how becoming a mother has impacted her relationship with Taylor. She shared that she likes her husband more since she has Cruz.

“If anything, it made me love him even more because seeing him as a father is the best thing. He’s always joked on the show or about anything that he wouldn’t be comfortable being alone with the baby until he was at least six months old to find out he’s the best dad ever, which I never doubt have. but he’s a great dad and he puts Cruz above everything else,” affirmed the former Vanderpump Rules star.
