La Nisha Cole tired of being called Nick Cannon‘Baby Mama’ and let it be known this week. Cole and Cannon were greeted Onyx Ice Cole Cannon on September 14 – their first child and his ninth.
She has been selectively private about her daughter. The first time people heard about LaNisha’s introduction to motherhood was the day after Onyx was born. Back then, Nick and LaNisha shared a hospital selfie. The move was unusual for Cannon, who tends to announce and flaunt his offspring in stunning maternity shoots.
But on Wednesday, the photographer and ex-model broke her usual silence for the second time in a week. LaNisha shared some messages on Instagram Story for “evil” critics and their “Disrespectful Messages” regarding her parental and past relationship with Nick.
“I understand that it’s easy to sit on your phone and get a tiny glimpse into someone’s life and feel like you’re better than them,” Cole wrote. “Yes, I made mistakes. Yes, I exposed myself to unnecessary pain and heartbreak (which we all did in the name of love. You too!)”
“But I choose to do better. Call me baby mama $538 every time I say the sky is blue is inappropriate and it’s getting old. I get it. My life is public, but there’s a lot that goes unseen,” Cole wrote. “I still want to say so much more, but now is not the time. I wouldn’t change anything about my trip because I’m in a beautiful place now and everything has to happen the way it happened to get here.”
The photographer also sent healing prayers to these beings “so bitter to a person [they] I do not know.” As for her, LaNisha says she’s made peace with all of her life choices and encouraged the naysayers to do so “Get out of toxic comment sections on social media.”
In her critic clapback, Cole apparently hinted that she’s experienced a toxic relationship. But the mother-of-one didn’t necessarily point the finger at Nick. Instead, she encouraged her followers to share hers “Stories about overcoming obstacles and leaving toxic relationships.”
LaNisha Cole Apparently Responds to Nick Cannon’s ‘Fake IG Photo Op’ With His Other Kids and Their Moms
Cole and Nick previously had an on-going romance and even partied valentines day together in 2021. By May of that year, they were seemingly dating again, and she denied swirling pregnancy and secret baby rumors. Months later, they rekindled — in light of her December conception — and the conversations weren’t just that anymore.
Her latest news comes days after she seemingly tagged Cannon’s separate holiday photoshoots with Abby de la Rosa, Bre Tiesi, and their children as “fake IG photo op love.”
At the time, her posts alluded to people sending and tagging her in Nick’s vacation posts, which she was calling “chaotic.” LaNisha explained that her goal is to keep the peace for the sake of her daughter.
“[Onyx] is incredibly blessed and surrounded by so much love – and it’s not fake IG photo op love – it’s real, day in, day out love,” LaNisha wrote.
Not even 48 hours later, Bre Tiesi, one of Nick Cannon’s regulars, appeared to come to his defense. She is the mother of Cannon’s eighth child, Legendary Love.
“Nick always shows up! Always present, happy, stable, loving parents and an even better person! We love you,” Tiesi wrote in response to a compliment for Nick via DM.
