Latest weather forecast for St Helens after snow flurry
Snow has fallen in parts of St Helens – and more could follow if temperatures drop overnight.
As temperatures dropped Monday night, wintry showers fell and ice formed in places.
St Helens is under a yellow weather warning, advising people that snow showers and icy stretches could cause disruption.
The Met Office forecast more snow showers could fall between 9am and 10pm.
There could be further excitement at 5 a.m. Tuesday.
The severe weather warning running until Tuesday states:
- Some roads and railways are likely to be affected by increased travel times on road, bus and rail services
- Some injuries from slips and falls on icy surfaces
- Possible icy patches on some unpaved roads, sidewalks and cycle paths
