Lazio step up interest in Newcastle & West Ham target Loftus-Cheek

Lazio have reportedly increased their interest in signing Chelsea midfielder Ruben Loftus-Cheek, but Newcastle United and West Ham are also keen on the England midfielder.

According to Il MessaggeroFormer Premier League boss Maurizio Sarri is dreaming of signing Loftus-Cheek this summer, with the 26-year-old long seen as a target for Lazio ahead of the transfer window.

The Chelsea star who deserves a reported £150,000-a-week has been pretty important for Thomas Tuchel’s side this season, although reports suggest Loftus-Cheek is yet to leave west London this summer.

Following Todd Boehly’s takeover of the club, the American is reportedly ready to flex his financial muscles and bolster Chelsea’s squad, with the midfield in a position linked with the future of Jorginho and now Loftus-Cheek up in the air is improved.

And Lazio now appear to be favorites to sign Loftus-Cheek despite reports that both Newcastle and West Ham are also interested in the Premier League star, with Everton also chasing the midfielder.

Loftus-Cheek enjoyed arguably his best football ever when he played under Lazio manager Sarri and the club’s interest in the Chelsea academy graduate could persuade the midfielder to move to Italy this summer.
