Le Saux react to Kane incident in 1st half Liverpool – Spurs

Fabinho is a bit lucky to avoid a yellow card during Tottenham Hotspur’s visit to Liverpool tonight.
Well, that’s the view of expert Graeme Le Saux.
It’s halfway through this massive Premier League competition at Anfield.
A win for Liverpool would see them top the Premier League standings, while three points for Tottenham would see them edge Arsenal into fourth place.
The stakes are high for both outfits and this is reflected in the relatively low-key manner throughout the opening 45 minutes.

There was a flash midway through the half when Fabinho fouled Tottenham killer Harry Kane and brought him down to prevent the player from getting forward.
And Le Saux is stunned that the Brazilian midfielder avoided a booking.
He said NBC sports: “I can’t believe this isn’t a yellow card to be honest. It’s way beyond him and [he was] enter dangerous territory.”
Virgil van Dijk almost opened the scoring for Liverpool but his header from a corner shot off the bar with seven minutes remaining.
Minutes later it was Spurs’ turn to hit the woodwork when Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg hit the post after a quick counterattack from outside the box.
It was a brilliant end to an otherwise boring half and it will be fascinating to see what happens after the break.
