American Idol finalist Leah Marlene placed third in the competition, and although some fans thought she was cheated out or that the competition was rigged, she thanked them and told them she still felt like a winner feel.
In an Instagram Live After the show, Marlene shared her thoughts on the season and how she was feeling overall.
“It’s been a big day and it’s kind of like the end of an era today and obviously feeling all the things, having so many thoughts and all this jazz,” she said on the live stream. “I just want to say thank you from below and above and from all sides and from the bottom of my heart. This was the most beautiful and incredible journey of my entire life.”
Marlene still feels like a winner
Marlene went on to talk about the people she competed against, saying that they are people she loves “with all my heart”.
“I was so emotional tonight for a lot of reasons…however, I’m just so, so grateful for this whole journey, it’s really, really hard to close this chapter,” she shared.
She added: “This is just the beginning so to speak for each and every one of us and this is where the real work begins and I hope you guys will stick with me because I’m ready to work my ass off to make this dream a reality in the real world.” allow.”
Then she thanked her fans.
“I feel like the biggest winner, the happiest person in the world to have experienced everything that I have experienced with this show and I wouldn’t have wanted anything to go differently,” she concluded.

When is American Idol returning?
ABC has officially renewed American Idol for the upcoming season. The announcement came as part of a series of renewals that spanned five unscripted shows.
American Idol, The Bachelor, America’s Funniest Home Videos, Celebrity Wheel of Fortune and Shark Tank have all been announced as returning, according to an ABC press release.
Auditions for next season from “American Idol” have been announced, meaning the show will continue to find new contestants in the coming months.
There are several rounds of auditions with producers before the judges get involved in the show, which is expected to air in early 2023, meaning filming will begin in November or December. Generally, the showstopper round and the top 24 reveal are filmed in December.
Judge three, Katy Perry, Lionel Richie and Luke Bryan are all expected to return for the upcoming season, as is longtime presenter Ryan Seacrest.
