Leeds’ predicted XI vs Watford

Leeds United have picked up seven points in their last three games but are still at risk of relegation at Elland Road.

Indeed, Burnley’s win over Everton in midweek put a cat amongst the pigeons and while Leeds aren’t favourites, they’re not out of the woods just yet.

Luckily for the Whites they have a very victorious game against Watford this weekend and they are hoping to continue their good form and keep any threat of relegation in the rear-view mirror.

However, Watford are no weaklings. They had their chances against Liverpool last week and if you think a Roy Hodgson team will simply keel over and be relegated you are sorely mistaken.

Leeds need to be almost as good as they can to win here and with that in mind we tried to predict their starting XI for this game.

We think Jesse Marsch will only make one change from the team that started against Southampton.

In our line-up, Marsch starts with Kalvin Phillips for the first time since arriving at Elland Road as the ‘fantastic’ midfielder has now returned from injury, while the rest of the team is as you would expect.

Adam Forshaw is the man to fall off the side while Mateusz Klich starts alongside The Yorkshire Pirlo in the middle of the park.

Dan James starts up front again while the backline stays the same.

In other news, Jesse Marsch says he speaks to the ‘fantastic’ Leeds player ‘every day’ about his behaviour.
