Leeds United ahead of Newcastle in the race to sign an ‘explosive’ teenager this summer

Leeds United are leading the race for George Hall as they look to beat Newcastle United for the Birmingham City teenager’s signature.
The Whites have already secured a new signing for next season in Brenden Aaronson, coming from Red Bull Salzburg.
Jesse Marsch needs more first-team recruits to push Leeds forward but more young talent could be on the way.
Leeds love to recruit young players like Joe Gelhardt, Sam Greenwood and Lewis Bate among others.
Victor Orta could be on the hook for another youngster this summer, with Hall believed to be a top target.

Leeds United are leading the race for George Hall
The Daily Mail report that Leeds are leading the race to sign teenager Hall this summer.
It’s said Leeds are now ready to make a seven-figure offer to Hall in hopes of a summer deal.
Birmingham are still trying to fend off Leeds by telling Hall it’s better to stay and develop at St Andrews.
Whether that will work remains to be seen, but Birmingham lost another talent to Leeds in Amari Miller last summer.
There is now a real chance Hall will follow Miller to Elland Road and join him in the Leeds development ranks.
However, the report notes that both Brighton and Newcastle United are interested in signing Hall.
All interested clubs seem heartened by the fact that Hall hasn’t gotten much first-team football at Birmingham this season.
The 17-year-old attacking midfielder, who was hailed as “explosive” by Birmingham youth manager Martin Olorenshaw, made his debut against Queens Park Rangers in January.
However, Hall had to wait until the final day of the season to play for Birmingham again, coming off the bench against Blackburn Rovers.
That gap in playing time could only allow Leeds to convince Hall he is better off joining them and becoming a first-team player like Gelhardt did under Marsch.
